SBC DSL Outage Pasadena
SBC promised that my service would be back up at 1:45am. It's now 7:00am and the service is still not up.
What bothers me most is that SBC is so dysfunctional as a company.
Support is off shore, where you cannot understand half of what the people you talk to are saying. They ask you to repeat every sentence. Then making it through the maze of menus is a major feat!
Once you ask for an onshore rep, they will transfer you and these people are just as helpless.
My question to SBC, If the ticket was "supposed" to be fixed at 1:45am why was it not updated in status at 1:45am?
A tip for those dealing with SBC Support, when you reach a off shore support in India, request ON SHORE support, this is a much better connection and you can understand what they are saying!
Message to SBC, you have lost a customer. I am not searching for other options. You have lost a customer. I'm glad I don't own stock!
The internet service business is a 24/7 service. Stop treating it like a part time business, I guarantee you will be left at the curb by new options. I'm glad Google and Earthlink and others are working to provide wifi access to metro cities. It's a smart move.
Message to the City of Pasadena, when will the city consider offering a wifi service to city residents. I would not mind paying $10/mo added to my utility bill for wifi in the city. I could be mobile, etc.... The service would have to allow me to be able to send emails, etc through my own pop accounts.
